The first time I watched the Season 4 opener, "Princess Twilight Sparkle", I definitely got pretty emotional during the flashback to Nightmare Moon's banishment, and that scene kind of served as a little bit of inspiration. I could really sympathize with the turmoil and the pain Celestia was going through as she watched her sister descend into darkness. Perhaps it's because I had a similar experience in my own family.
Usually my art consists of things that are upbeat or funny, so this is my first attempt at a more "bittersweet" piece. I also realized that my gallery was lacking in a lot of Princess Celestia or Princess Luna, so this is also a response to that. Enjoy!
